Mark Vipond, CEO
As our CEO, Mark is responsible for the strategic direction of the company as well as the executive oversight of sales and operations. He has more than 25 years of experience in the software industry. He was president of ACI Worldwide, Inc., a provider of electronic payments and banking for more than 2,600 financial institutions, retailers and processors around the world. At ACI, Mark was president of global product, senior vice president of consumer banking, chief operating officer, national sales manager and vice president of the emerging technologies and network systems divisions. Mark is an alumnus of the University of Nebraska Omaha with a degree in business administration
Jeff HaleSVP Sales & Marketing
Jeff Hale, SVP Sales & Marketing
As the chief business development officer for our company, Jeff drives our sales, marketing and strategic partnership arrangements. He served in a variety of capacities over a 27-year term at ACI Worldwide including product management, global accounts, marketing, sales and business development. As manager of the global accounts team he was responsible for signing over $170 million in sales over a two-year period. Prior to his career at ACI, Jeff was a manager in the management information consulting division of Arthur Andersen, which subsequently became Accenture. Mr. Hale holds a degree in industrial engineering and systems management from the University of Nebraska.

Jeff Walker, VP - CISO
Jeff is our chief information security officer. He is responsible for establishing and maintaining the measures required to protect the company’s information assets and technologies. Jeff brings more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of software development, system engineering, information security and project management to D3 Banking. Prior to D3 Banking, He was the director of Information Security for CSG International, where he was responsible for implementing a global security strategy. As a 20 year veteran of the US Airforce Reserves, he developed and implemented plans that improved operational capacity over 400 percent with the launch of new cyberdefense systems and services.
Dwight HansonSVP - CFO
Dwight Hanson, SVP - CFO
As Chief Financial Officer, Dwight is responsible for all aspects of the company's financial operations. Dwight brings to D3 over 30 years of finance and accounting experience. Prior to D3 Banking, he was a partner with Treetop Ventures, CFO of Sojern, Inc. (a Treetop portfolio investment), and held numerous positions with ACI Worldwide including CFO, VP of Finance and Controller. Dwight started his career with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Dwight is a CPA and a graduate of Loras College.
Carrie NelsonVP - Support & Services
Carrie Nelson, VP - Support & Services
As the vice president of support and services at our company, Carrie is in charge of deployment, product customizations, project management, customer support and account management. Her focus is on the efficient use of resources and client satisfaction as well as the development and implementation of standard engagement methodologies, including consulting frameworks and tools for the on-boarding of customers and their businesses. Prior to joining us, Carrie was the director of global customer management at ACI Worldwide. She has also held various executive-level positions at Infogroup. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Creighton University.
Bob CroninSVP Product
Bob Cronin, SVP Product
Bob Cronin is our chief product officer. He has more that 25 years in the financial services industry serving as chief operations officer for Prairie Cloudware and as senior vice president at ACI Worldwide. As a key member of the executive management team at ACI Worldwide, Bob was responsible for managing all corporate IT and infrastructure for the $2 billion payment leader. Bob also oversaw global customer service, established the ACI On Demand offering, delivering more than $100M in annual revenues, and managed ACI’s flagship product, BASE24, as well as the next-generation product, BASE24-eps.
Jeff Marshall, CTO
As the CTO, Jeff is responsible for our data science, innovation, and strategic Initiatives. Jeff has Twenty-five years of experience in Software Architecture and Development including positions in General and Strategic Management. In 1996 Jeff Co-Founded Cavion an Internet banking company and most recently was a Vice President at D+H in charge of US Architecture and Strategic Technology.
Merri WeesVP Corporate Services
Merri Wees, VP Corporate Services
Merri brings more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry to our company where she is responsible for managing human resources, accounting, infrastructure, facilities and legal services. Previously, she was director of operations for WorldView Ltd., a leading provider in internet-based services. She worked for 15 years at Planet Group, a privately held corporation of five diverse technology and business solutions divisions focused on the financial payment industry. At Planet, Merri was vice president of corporate services managing a multi-million dollar budget for short and long-term management of initiatives across HR, finance, accounting, corporate infrastructure, legal and facilities.

The decades of experience the members of our management team have from working at companies such as ACI Worldwide, S1, First Data, Intuit and others, is matched by our board of directors impressive pedigree in financial service.
Ben is Vice President at Route 66 Ventures, and focuses on investments in private equity, venture capital, and project finance. Prior to joining Route 66, Ben was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he advised leading organizations around the globe on lean operations, strategy, and product design. Previously, Ben was a co-founder and executive of an innovative web services start-up called WiseChoice, an online college counseling resource that helped high school students and their families navigate and find “best fit” colleges.
He also served in various senior roles at Goal Financial, a major student loan originator, and was responsible for capital markets transactions, securitizations, and financial analysis. Ben began his career as a submarine officer and nuclear engineer in the U.S. Navy. He holds an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an M.S. from the University of Maryland – College Park, and a B.S. in Economics from the U.S. Naval Academy, where he graduated with honors.
William (Fish) Fisher is the founding partner of Treetop Ventures LLC, a company that provides comprehensive, integrated financial and legal support for small and start-up businesses. He is an experienced executive, entrepreneur, investor and public board member. He has served on the board of directors of five public companies (Hypercom, West Teleservices, Transaction Systems, TriZetto and Bank of America merchant processing).
Fish was president of the Government Services division at First Data Resources when he left in 1987 after a seven-year tenure to join ACI. At ACI he led a management buyout of the company from Tandem Computers, founding Transaction Systems Architects in 1993. He served as Chairman and CEO of that company until 2001. Since working at ACI, Fish has been an angel investor in a number of private companies, serving on the board of many of these.
He is co-founder of a number of companies in addition to Treetop and Transaction Systems including Sojern, Prism Technologies and Prairie Cloudware. He has a Bachelor of Science in Management from Indiana University and a MBA from the University of Nebraska.
Alex Hart brings more than 20 years of experience in financial services to the board and has held numerous senior positions at companies such as NationsBank, CheckFree and Microsoft. Alex was president and CEO of Corillian, an early pioneer in the Internet banking market, which experienced a 2,700 percent increase in equity value during his five-year tenure.
His most recent roles include president and CEO of Official Payments, a provider of electronic payment options to the United States government and other organizations, and president of Fuelman, a division of Fleetcor Technologies, a global provider of fuel cards and workforce payment products to businesses. As a consultant for ACI Worldwide, he assisted with corporate development and product strategy.
Matthew (Matt) Lawlor is general partner of Lawton House Capital, a venture development and investment holding firm focused on financial services and payment technologies.
He founded Online Resources, where he served as Chairman and CEO for 20 years until 2009. With 15 million consumer end-users, Online Resources was one of the nation’s largest and most innovative outsourcers of online financial and payment services.
Matt began his career in 1970 with RCA, serving as project engineer for NASA’s Earth Resources Technology Satellite. After completing graduate school, he joined Chemical Bank (now JP Morgan Chase). There he was staff coordinator for the bank’s Asset and Liability Management Committee, managed a consumer-banking group, and headed Chemical’s international equity investment company.
In 1980, Lawlor served as a Presidential Exchange Executive in the White House. He later formed a venture development firm, providing seed capital to RSA (formerly Security Dynamics) and other early-stage technology companies. Matt holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a MBA from Harvard. He is active in public affairs and charitable work.
Prior to forming West Partners in 2007, Dennis was a Partner at McCarthy Capital Corporation where he was responsible for evaluating acquisition opportunities, structuring and consummating transactions, and serving on boards of portfolio companies. Previous to that, Dennis held positions at First Data Corporation and Mutual of Omaha. Dennis received his B.S.B.A., M.B.A. and J.D. degrees from Creighton University.

Mark is a seasoned payments and digital technology executive with more than 25 years of experience in the software industry. Prior to founding D3 Banking, he was president of ACI Worldwide, Inc., a provider of electronic payments and banking for more than 2,600 financial institutions, retailers and processors around the world.
Mark worked with ACI Worldwide for 23 years, making his way up to president through the ranks. Over the years, he was president of global product, senior vice president of consumer banking, chief operating officer, national sales manager and vice president of the emerging technologies and network systems divisions.
During Mark’s leadership at the company, it grew into an international powerhouse, multiplying its business twenty times over. He began his career as a systems engineer at IBM. He is an alumnus of the University of Nebraska Omaha with a degree in business administration.
